I heard from someone that you should always buy the same brand of DDR Memory to put in your computer, so if you buy Corsair, you shouldn't buy a stick of Kingston to add because the Clock's are different and it will slow down your computer, is this true?

Generally it's not a good idea, just because different mf's make their RAM in slightly different ways.

However, there's no major technical reasons why you can't. Just make sure you have the same speeds, same voltages, etc. As long as the RAM chip specs are all the same, you're fine. (That's not a guarantee, but it's the best you'll get when mixing brands.)

It wouldn't hurt to do so, I suppose. But I use thwo different brands of memory with my computer, Ultra and PNY. They aren't the best brands but they get the job done ;)
