Default mem clock on 6600GT

according to leadtek's site the PX6600 GT extreme's memory clock is only 560 mhz. but on gigabyte's site it says theres is 1150 for their extreme version. Is it really that much faster?

I think they're talking about the two different times. I used to have my 6800 GT at 400/1100 and its default is 350/1000. I think one site it talking about the top number, and the other is talking about the bottom.

Well about the memory clocks, if Nvidia claims it's 1000 it's actually 500 * 2

That means the leadtek is 1120

But with these extreme cards, it's better to overclock these cards yourself, buy the normal version

completely true ^^
you don't need to spend more money on a card somebody else has overclocked, when it can be done easily by yourself
