But I mean, 4 extra pipes isn't that huge in the scheme of things. I mean, a while back a big jump from 4 to 8 pipes was huge. It's a double, you know? Now it's like a 16% increase in power.

and it is cheaper

Aye aye, I see what you're saying, but if its priced in the same region as the 7800 GT then you have to think about it like this:

"Thats a WHOLE 16% increase!!!" as opposed to "Its only a 16% increase."

Sorry, I just don't see this as a big enough improvement to get excited about. There's no breakthroughs here. They just refined it a little...
