7900GT will be roughly on par with the 7800GTX 512MB (not 256MB) Definately wait for it. It should be cheaper too. I just wonder if the G80 series will be out in time for UT2007. I sure hope so.

Don't worry. Your not going to need a bleeding edge G80 just to run UT2007. Current hardware will run it fine, and these 7900's will run it with no problems.

I need to know how much are these 7900!!, and if there a bit too pricey i hope the 7800 GTX price is lowered down.. Oh i love the video card market :D

The 7900 GTX will run at 650MHz and 800MHz memory, but it might only have 24 piplines. So it will out perform the the 7800 GTX 512 either way, but if it does only have 24 piplines it just might be a buffed up 7800 GTX 512. I hope it does have 32 pipes but remember it uses a 90nm 7800 core and I'm not sure where they can find another 8 pipes.

But if it does have 32 pipes you can assure that it will indeed take the performance crown. But If it doesn't I'm going with a X1900 XT most likely, but I'm going to wait for benchmarks like usual. It's just that the 50%-80% performance gain in FEAR over the 7800 GTX 512 makes me wonder how well the 32 pipe 7900s will compare to the X1900 in newer games that are going to use more shaders.

I wonder where the 7900GT will land. They're going to quit making the 7800's, so that leaves a HUGE gap if they aren't priced at like $250

Yeah, if it only has 24 pipes, regardless of clock speed, the x1900 will probably still be better. If it has 32 then it will be a close race between the x1900 and the 7900, because the x1900 has 48 shader processors, but it has slower memory, so this will be close.
