1. Why The F, would you get that expensie RAM when it isn't even that good...

2. Why get him a 6800 when he's an animator?

The mistake is made twice. According to that, he is getting a PCI-E motherboard.

to woot6600GT,

i know alot about computers......however, i joined the forum to learn more about them, i.e. whats compatible with what, things to look for when buying certain hardware,what brands are better than others, stuff like that. I figure since mostly everyone in here is educated in different ways about computers, i can benefit from others knowledge and apply that toward building my own monster pc. Graphics are my thing.....PSU's, and the difference between 4x and 8x AGP are not.

second, that being said and me being in college....i obviously cant afford the best parts you can get, so my brother and i have to make due with what our dad is willing to help us with. That is why i asked for peoples help in gathering parts that are reasonably priced, and worth the cash. If you know of any i would greatly appreciate it, if not....keep the comments.
