Default Major Problem

I have a computer that is giving me fits. Here are the specs

PIII 800mhz
128 MB SDRam
20Gig HD
Intel Mother Board , too lazy to look it up.

Here is the problem

A while back the ps/2 keyboard connector went bad. Rather than replace the motherboard, I opted to buy a USB keyboard. This worked fine until the hard disk crashed. I am now trying to reformat the machine.

However, the USB keyboard is not responding at certain points. I can get into BIOS and work, but cannot use the up or down arrow keys when I prompt the machine to book to the Win 98 CD-ROM over Hard Drive. I have even tried booting on a Win98 floppy boot disk. When I get to the DOS prompt, I have no responce from the keyboard.... period.

Any thoughts? Is there a floppy that could load USB keyboard drivers perchance?

Bravo! You have saved the day! I didn't think to check the BIOS for that. I was afraid I was going to be searching Logitech's website for the aforementioned DOS drivers.

Thanks again
