865G Neo2 Series
=====================
• Supports Intel® P4 Northwood/Prescott/P4 Extreme Edition processors.(Socket 478)
• FSB 400(Northwood only), 533, 800MHz, depending on the integrated North Bridge.
• Supports up to 3.2GHz or higher speed

• Intel® 865G Chipset
- Supports FSB 800/533/400(Northwood only)MHz.
- Integrated graphic controller.
- Supports AGP 8X interface.
- Supports Dual Channel DDR 400/333/266 memory interface.

What about the above mainboard? Is it compatible with my intel 1.7Ghz CPU?

Another question. What is the different between intel 865PE and 865G? Which one is newer?

Thanks.

You have a Pentium 4 (Northwood) 1.7 Ghz (400 Mhz FSB).

Therefore that motherboard is compatible with your CPU.
