lubricating fans

i think my videocard is producing a grinding sound..not that much anyway.but im thinking of maybe lubricating them.

is it okay,technically?

no, you should neve have any kind of liquid or grease anywhere near electrical parts, i would reccomend removing the viedo card and getting a can of compressed air and blowing it out, that should solve your prbolem, but if you absolutely lubricate it, i would try and remove the fan, lubricate it, let it sit for like 2 days and dry out, then replace it (dont do this while its on the card or you WILL RUIN YOUR CARD) but i would definately try compressed air first

no, i dont plan on putting it on while still on the card.
im doing my mod right now,and im thinking that i have a few days to give my cards some time for lubrication.

there is a significant amount of dirt that i see so im taking the fan off and clean it anyway.i just thought to ask if its okay to lubricate it a little

not a good idea. A can of compressed air can clean it out fine.
