I have a AMD 1900 (1600) processor. My HD died and when my CPU was returned Belarc Advisor shows my processor as 1200 not 1600 or 1900. How did I tweak the CMOS to get back the speed I had before?

Well download and run cpu-z from cpuid.com

Many programs like belarc try to read the CPU ID codes, and they can be very inaccurate. And if belarc was reading the speed, a AMD 1900+ should be around 1.2GHZ if I am not mistaken.

chances are your FSB got reset and is probably stock supposed to be at like 133 and yours has dropped to 100 resulting in this loss of clock speed.

Yeah I just googled it, it's supposed to be 133....go into your BIOS make sure the CPU FSB is set from 100 to 133 and you should be good to go
