Lost Dvd Burner

My dvd burner in not displaying in ''my computer'' and when i put a cd or dvd it still dont work.i have windows xp pro can some1 plz help me.

dont worry i just fixed it.all i did was uninstall the dvd burner and windows just found it.

someetimes windows fail to update the ATAPI drivers, removing from hardware list and again refreshing makes windows search for new hardware, and then installs the drivers for the new hardware found.
