Default Looking For Purchasing Suggestions

Is it worthwhile to buy this laptop? A co-worker is selling this below. He has upgraded to the Pentium 4. Can anyone give me some suggestions on decent laptops. I like to game and burn music cds more than anything else. I'm looking into going wireless, so a portable laptop would be great.

Thanks

You can do almost as good for a new laptop, wouldnt recomend a dell though.

That laptop is only 1190$ in Canada, so you should be able to find a NEW one at his price.

Remeber that his battery is also probolly crap

Very cool advice. Thanks for the advice. Good thing you pointed out what the condition of the battery would be like.

Thanks

My co-worker upgraded from a Celeron to the P4 in the laptop now. Anyway, with the price he has asked for, I've decided to do some more research for a good laptop. Thanks everyone...
