I need a decently cheap graphics card. so far i've found these three-

nVIDIA FX5200 128Mb DDR , 8X AGP

ATI Radeon 9200 SE 128MB DDR AGP 8X

nVIDIA FX5200 256Mb DDR , 8X AGP

the last one, the 256mb, is 25$ more than the 128mb one. I plan on doing a little gaming but mainly graphics work on Photoshop and Illustartor. Which one would you suggest? And which one is the better brand, and last but not least, in what way does the megabite rate of the card matter?

When purchasing GeForce FX 5200 and GeForce FX 5600 XT based cards, be aware that they come in two flavors: 64-bit memory bus or 128-bit. The 64-bit bus variants are generally lower priced and cut down on what would otherwise be reasonable performance.

I agree with nvalhalla.

I am also an ATI guy, however the nVidia would be a good buy for your money's worth. However, you could also try the Radeon 9600, but I think u would get more from nVidia for that price.

If u wanted a GREAT card, you can always get the Radeon 9800 PRO 128 Mb. It was the best buy I've ever gotten for my PC. At the time I paid about $700 CDN. Right now it is at about $450 CDN.
