Looking for external HD enclosure for SATA drives, Complicated, Read on:

Hey to all the forum, been lookin for a good hardware forum for some help, so hello all.

Ive got a a few serial ata internal drives (maxtor diamond plus 9 80gb) lying around, and thoughtt i would use one and get a kit to turn it into an external drive for my laptop.

However, It seems no-where on earth actually makes external enclosures for internal Serial ata drives. Plenty for IDE etc. but not sata.

A google search brings nothing but IDE to sata, (but the external sata, like usb but justt for HD's)

Yeah, I searched everywhere but didn't find anything.

The ones u linked me to are the same as what i found

IDE to Whatever u want (usb, firewire, External SATA)

but not

SATA to whatever i need (usb)
