Default Looking to buy new monitor, top of the range

Hey folks!

I was looking at buying a new monitor to replace the crappy one that i have, and wanted to get some advice.
I want a really, really good monitor that will last me a while, and am willing to shell out some cash for it.

What i will be doing:
-heavy gaming
-heavy digital art (photoshop, etc)

What i am looking for:

-IPS
-static contrast (as high as possible)
-27''
-preferably fast response time
-not more than 1300 ish or so
-Available in UK

Anyone has any good suggestions or advices? Any and all help is highly appreciated

I dont care much about 4k pixel size, plus 31.5 is a bit too much for my desk area. Also not IPS unless i misunderstood something

Go 21:9 ultrawide !

I just got a 29" 21:9 ultrawide monitor. It is epic, and fantastic quality.

Take a read:

Bear in mind 29" in 21:9 is not as big as a 29" in normal 16:9 aspect ratio.

I dont like extra high resolutions or weird scales. I prefer the good old 1920x1080

Actually, I recommend against 1920x1080 for 27", especially for Photoshop work.

I would recommend something like this instead.
