Question lol DUMB question. Whatz SLI?

Hi
All i noe iz dat SLI is sumtin' from nVidia, and i think available only on AMD, iz it true? My oder question iz dat whut exactly iz SLI?

please do not use the text talk, as it looks un inteligent, and is annoying to read.

It is two identicle graphics card's that use pci express. These fans are linked with a bridge. The two graphiccs cards work together.

two identical graphics cards run in parallel work together basically double your graphics power.

i think that pic is on a dual opteron or xeon board (cant remember which) anyhow i read there is only 1 board out that supports dual cpus and sli. again cant remember name though.

@aspire sli does not give 2x the performance, it is much closer to 1.5x the performance.

Thats a serious chunk of power there. At the same time, a GeForce 6800 Ultra and the X800XT can play the newest games just fine on high settings. Dual ultras is $1000. I wouldnt blow the cash on that. Id wait until the 512MB cards come out.
