Ok lets say I want 512mb ram right?

Now, which would be better? A lone 512mb ram or two 256mb sticks? My ideal is, two 256mb will be slightly more efficient because it is like... having 2 highways, though skinnier is better than having 1 highway, which is wider...

wad do u tink?

You answered your own question......Dual Channel memory is more efficient and faster than one stick of RAM. It makes a big difference, just make sure your mobo supports DC RAM;)

DC? Dual Channel? Is Dual Channel another name for DDR or wad? Im confused pls help

No, Dual Channel means running the 2 of the same types of DDR RAM in the correct specified DIMM slots(listed in your mobo manual) and then they run in tandem. It's more efficient and faster;)

yep i guess i have figured that out. thx merlin :D

but erm... how do i visually tell the difference between an SDD ram and a DDR ram
