locate HDD upgrades?

trying to find out cost for upgrading Hard-Drive on IBM Aptiva 2171-545, currently 13GB...looking to see if even worth to upgrade internally to about 30GB to accomodate new OS, as suggested by some other people on this site.
-cannot locate what types of HDD's would be compatible...can you help with good site and info....i tried IBM.com.

is it a laptop or a tower? if its a tower just find out if its ATA 100 <-(most likely) ATA 133 or serial ATA, then go to best buy (or your favorite retailer) and purchase a hard drive accordingly

(FYI, dont bother getting a 5400RPM drive, they are waaay outdated get a 7200RPM)

I'm willing to bet it's an ATA66 (few years old).

Doesn't matter anyway, all the drives are reverse compatable. You just won't get the same bandwidth out of the drive.
