Q Quantum In Runtime Messages 153 Jul 5, 2003 #1 I plan on building my next PC but I want Linux instead of Windows. I checked the HCL for Linux but some flavors don't have them. Is it best to get generic hardware so Linux can find it or go with name brands like GeForce and Sound Blaster? Thanks.

OP OP Q Quantum In Runtime Messages 153 Jul 5, 2003 #3 Thanks. I tried several flavors but only Knoppix (ironic) and Red Hat can use all my hardware. hp must have funky stuff in it.
