Default lightning precautions

well i just heard a loud crak of lighting
looks like were gonna get a preaty good storm
im in between evansville & st louie, in southern il.

i just got this about a month ago,00.html?

it has coax conection for my cable modem.
think this is enough protection?
what do you use?

The reality of it is, nothing will save your computer from lightening. Not even a great UPS. Minimize the damage, yes, protect it completely, don't think so.

There are very slim chances that your stuff will get hit by lightning.
if your house the tallest object in the area then you have a bigger chance of getting hit but still not very likely.

yeah, i know the chances arent great, but i know 2 ppl that have been had to replace parst due to lightning.
yeah the guarantee cracks me up.
i was looking at the one that came w/ the product.
its says its guaranteed uinless the lightning, or surge spickes above the number of jouls protected.
wich means basically, "buy our most expensive protector, if you realy want the guarantee
