whats your friends mother board??? his motherboard probley doesn't support that much ram. same thing happened with my friends computer. he put in 1 gb of ram but his mobo only supported up to 768 mb.
Windows can support up to 4 gigs i think, so it is definitely the motherboard that is holding it back. Let us know what kind it is so we can conferm what is wrong.
yes cause c my mother-board supports up to 2 gigs. I was also wondering i bought 512 mb's of AZEN Ram and i already had 128 mb's of misc RAM in my comp would the Misc ram slow my AZEN stuff down there both pc 2100 speeds?
