Default LCD: good for a Photographer?

I'm looking at LCD monitors, and I'm an advanced amateur photographer.

I'm going to be working with color profiles and need accurate colors to be displayed.

I want to know these things:

1. Is 25ms response time too much for all non gaming use?

2. Do gamma and color profiles work good enough?

3. How is Viewsonic VG910 for graphic work?

4. Is VP171 better for graphics than the previous one?

5. Whats the difference between Analog and Digital (DVI) connection? Which is better and why?

I will really appreciate any info.

Okay

1: 25 ms is a horrible response time, better is lower. However since your most likely not going to be gaming, it's fine for most things.

5: VGA is Analog, DVI is Digital. DVI is sharper, and will look better.

Thanks! Thats 2 down, partly.

How about TV or DVD video? I have an ATI tv card, and also watch DVD movies on my computer. Is 25ms going to cause blurs on fast moving scenes?

Also, is 1280 x 1024 too much for 17" LCDs? If not, I guess I should go for the Pro line of viewsonic LCDs, that VP171b one. But I really would like the 19" Graphic series one: VG910b.
