I just installed my western digital 40 GB hard drive (NTFS partition) and my computer is only recognizing it as 1.96 GB. I have a spacewalker main board and a celeron 600 cpu overclocked to 733. The computer place i bought the hardrive from said i need a LBA Controller to solve this problem but i am not completely clear on this. Please help me out.

Thanks.

can you give more details on the motherboard? not familiar with Spacewalker...

Its a Spacewalker AV11, FC-PGA Celeron/Coppermine processor, based on AGP Main Board, Socket 370. What else do you need to know?

Inaris, the Spacewalker boards are the same as Shuttle.

When booting the PC, go into the BIOS by hitting Delete, or F2 (I forget which one it was for this board) and make sure that you are using the LBA (logical block addressing) controller for the controller that is housing the physical drive, ie: Primary Master, Slave, etc.
