Is there a program that forces compatible battery charges in laptops to keep the battery at a certain, user specified charge level (ie ~47%, the ideal storage charge for lithium ions)? I don't usually run my laptop on battery, but want to keep my batteries ready when i need them. Also, does anyone know a reputable battery seller that maintains a stock of older model batteries (for all brand laptops).

im looking for it but there is a pad you put your laptop on and it is supposed to increase your battery by 6 times depending on the size you get....

I have seen those, but what I am thinking of it not battery life, but battery life span. The nonuse of li-ions can kill them, and I want to keep my baterries in the best shape possible, for the rare occasions I do use them. Thanks for looking.
