i tripped on my laptop chord and broke the power socket, so i got a new motherboard. the memory and processor sits on top seperatly. its an old compaq lte 5400 pentium 1.

anyway, i got the motherboard installed and everything and now when i turn it on, it reads the memory and begins to show information about the computer (right before it begins to boot into windows) and it freezes. it does not matter if the HD is in or not. could it be the bios? i tried pretty much everything in the bios and it wont boot. i know it worked fine in my laptop before i changed the boards. any help is appreciated. thanks!!!
