I apologize if this scenario has come up before but after searching I could not find a satisfactory solution to my problem. I'm trying to connect a laptop with VGA port to an older TV with only analog and S-video inputs. I would like to buy a VGA to s-video adapter like this one:
Amazon.com: LE TV-out VGA to S-Video/RCA Cable Adapter: Electronics
and use it to directly connect the video sources but I do not think my graphics card has TV-out capabilities. I have an Intel graphics and media card that comes standard with the Dell Latitude E6420 purchased in 2011.
I think I may have better luck using a converter box like this one:
http://www.buy.com/prod/kworld-pc-to...206729329.html
but I don't know if I still need the TV-out capability on my graphics card.
If I cannot use any of these options, how should I connect? I'm not worried about sound because I can use the 3.5 millimeter output to L/R jacks on the TV. Thanks!
