Default Laptop switch...

I got a old laptop that I don't have the power cord. There is a switch on the laptop, what if I soulder a 12V adaptor on the switch, will it work? (The laptop require 12V) If it would work, which side do I soulder the red power and which side do I soulder the black power.

if u wont to keep the laptop in working order, you prolly do not won to do that. unless i guess if u have an output adapter rated exactly the same as the required laptop one... example random #s - instance, u cant use a 40amp 12v adapter inplace of a 10amp 12v adapter.

just go to the manufacturers web site, c if u can get a replacement adapter for free, or cheap or whatever.
