I have an Inspiron 8600. Every time my LCD screen turns off, it starts making a very high pitched screeching noise thats barely audible but still noticeable. What is causing this noise? Is there a problem or is this normal? Either way its really pissing me off especially when it happens while I'm studying.

I don't think it is the monitor, I think only CRT's will do this.

I pretty sure its not the fan since it happens even if both my CPU and GPU fans are turned off when the screen turns off. It sometimes makes a similar (but not the same) sound when I am scrolling through pdf's that have a lot of images and graphics. Whenever I scroll through the document it makes a noise, but stops as soon as I stop scrolling.
