Laptop Problem

I think my bro's laptop's battery burnt out but I'm not sure.
Here's his description of what happened:

- there was a popping sound that it made and the screen went completely WHITE and CTRL-ALT-DEL didnt work, when i was playing maplestory
- then when nothing worked for a few minutes i took out the battery manually and everything turned off, and when i put it bak in, nothing worked, and continued in this manner for many many many hours

another thing he left out when he plugged th AC adapter in
and press the on button no led lights turn on,but the led lights
blink when the AC adapter is unplugged and press the on button.
the laptop is 3 years old.

I think you fried it.
I think you fried the motherboard.
You can try another battery though.

You either fried the Mobo, battery, or the power supply.
