Laptop Help

I recently got a Compaq laptop from my uncle and I found out it was password protected and the password he gave me didn't work. Now I've managed to "lock" the computer - something which I forgot would happen if I tried the password so many times. The message says:

System Disabled
[00000]


Is there any way I can get back into the laptop without having to get a technician to look at it?

Or any ideas where I can find a technician, or anyone to help resolve the problem?

Personally I would contact Compaq... try their website, they may have advice or the location of the nearest authorised technician.

the compaq site has a "chat with a support specialist" option, where you sort of engage in a instant messaging type chat with a tech... this may be your best bet as a starting point!
