Which Laptop? Advice needed...

Currently, I am running a P3 700 mhz laptop with 384 mb of ram... Recently, Ive received a Celeron 1.7 ghz laptop with 448 mb of ram...

Im debating about which one to use... I am aware of the celeron's reputation as the worst chip available and as one of my friends put it "a glorified type writer"... and I am aware that processor clock speed doesnt mean a whole lot... but i cant help but to consider the celeron based on its clock speed of 1ghz more than the other pc... and the extra 64 mb of ram....

(I think the celeron machine has a 64mb shared graphics card... i dont know what graphics card the other pc has)

Any Advice is greatly appreciated

Celeron, remember the celeron was an IMPROVEMENT; so what w/e was before it was worse. You have both, try both and see which one you like, if you're not doing gaming the celeron will be 2x as fast, at least

the celeron will be considerably better. new technologies and stuff. if i were u i would benchmark then using programs like PCmark04 and 3Dmark03 they should agree with me
