where would be the best place in BC to buy a laptop? Doesnt have to be fancy, and must be under $500. It's for my mother, and she just wants a used laptop to do web surfing on. I think a pentium 3 should be fine, or celeron, but would ebay be the best place to get a "budget" laptop?

i would say so its one way of getting a labtop for dirt cheap and tahts works for that your want. You can find one for less then that on ebay thats works good. So the rest of that money can go to you .

thanks anyways guys, but my mom got a toshiba sattelite M70 from Best Buy, $150 off!

Its pretty sweet, Celeron M 1.6 Ghz, 512 RAM, 60 GB HD, and wireless!

i might have to save up for the cheapest one, Gateway, which is $600!
