The weaknes problem for LINUX is the modems as most of them Are WINMODEM
and to run it on LINUX you have to make some major changes.

What is the brand of the modem or there is no modem?

Also what LINUX you are going to install?

the modem is a V.90/56K data/fax modem. That is all the info it gives. I am going to install fedora core 1 or 2.
