Keyboard doesn't work anymore...

Hi,
I got the GA-586T2 motherboard... and my keyboard doesn't work anymore... it's working for 10-15 secs (I can go in the BIOS... and I don't even have the time to quit...) and, it will not work again if I don't shut it down...

Does someone know how to fix this? Or is it the motherboard or the keyboard?

could be your keyboard controller, could be something's screwy in the BIOS. It's a PS/2 mouse I assume? For a couple bucks you can get a PS/2 - USB converter. Then you can use the same keyboard but plug it into your usb drive.

You may just have to enable the usb in the bios before windows loads if it is a usb keyboard. That may be your problem as BASSMASTER points out.

What keyboard is it? You can get a basic microsoft keyboard for £10 if you think the old one is broken

Well... ok, the its a old board... a AT & ATX board with SDRAM with only a DIM keyboard... there is a PS/2 mouse and one USB (thought I don't have the adapter )
