Keeping Laptop On

Alright I've been wondering this and need some advice/answers. I just bought my laptop about 4 months ago, its an emachines 2350 and I love the thing to death despite peoples comments about them. But I like to leave it on for 2 to 3 days at a time. I mean it goes into the powersave modes where the monitor shuts off but I leave the hard disks running because I'm usually downloading large dvd files n stuff. Is this bad for my laptop, I want it to last me awhile and I don't want to kill it. Worse comes to worse I can shut it off when I'm not using it, although I would rather keep it on.

i dont think its bad. lol your sig is funny but you need to make it the right size 468x120 its the right size just so you know.
