Default Just upgraded

Hi peoples,

Just a quick question, i just recently upgraded my mobo and cpu.
i went from a p3 545mhz compaq prop. to an amptron m922LU with a p4 2.4gig. Now i got it up and running(took me forever).
Now on to the question, when i check the properties under my computer im getting a really wierd display. Its says im running an genuine Intel(R) 6.00GHZ 1.40 ghz 384mhz ram then it says somethign to the effect "physical address extension" now im not completely computer illiterate and i know i put a socket 478 2.4 ghz fsb 400/533 now why is it saying im running 6.00 ghz and 1.40. someone told me i might have an out of date bios or i have a jumper set wrong .

any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks for your time

Check your CPU speed with CPU-Z from cpuid.com

Windows can sometimes not accuratly portray computer specs, like my 1.23 terabyte hard drive from 5 years ago
