Just curious to see people's opinions, if you were to build a low end, mid and high end PC, what components would they have? Obviously taking into consideration cost. Dont ask me what my budget is or how many screens I will be using, this is all hypothetical :silly:

For a low end pc I have come up with this;
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-244-AM
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-283-GI
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-221-CM
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-037-OC
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-265-SP
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-203-CS
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-364-WD
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CD-099-SA

That comes to a lovely total of £416.90 including VAT.

Here's my current build
Motherboard: Foxconn A6GMV
CPU: 2.9-GHz AMD Athlon II X2 245
Memory: 1GB Crucial CT12864BA1339
Hard Drive: 160GB Seagate Barracuda
Case and Power Supply: Rosewill R424BK with 350-watt PSU
$192.95 in July 2010

Probably wouldn't work with something like Windows 7, but does great with a very light Debian (Openbox for my windowing system, Firefox for my browser, only a few applications otherwise)

Not so sure about higher grade builds, I never really got into that sort of thing (highend gaming and such)
