Talking The Journey Has Begun!

I just began the purchase process for my new machine. ^..^

First purchase included:

Ultra Dragon Glossy Silver ATX Case with 600 Watt
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...Sku=DRG-GS-600

(4) Vantec Stealth 80mm Cooling Fans
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...4638&CatId=801

(2) Ultra 3.5" Aluminum Hard Drive Coolers (2x60mm Fans)
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...6428&CatId=495

Okay...That'll most likely conclude my purchases from TigerDirect.com

The rest will come from NewEgg.com...but one step at a time.

When I'm purchasing a lot of stuff, I always buy a bit at a time, let it get to me, then order the next bit. That way if something comes wrong or (eek) doesn't come, I don't have 17 things to think about. Just a couple at a time.

^..^ <--Happy PC-Builder

Thermaltake SILENT BOOST Cooler

2 Seagate 120GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drives

AMD Athlon XP 3200+

MSI K7N2 Delta2 Platinum NVIDIA nForce2 Ultra 400

PDP SYSTEMS Memory Dual Channel Kit 184-Pin 1GB (512MBx2) DDR PC-3200, Latency: 2-3-2-5-T1

When you get that built, be sure to post your 3DMark03 and Aquamark scores. I'm curious to see how it performs, but I think it's pretty safe to say "That beast will fly"

instead of ordering 2 120 GB drives order one 120 GB and then another 10,000 RPM WesternDigital drive (74 or 36 GB)

Because the day I buy another WD HDD, is the day I should be committed...

I stick only with Seagate. One of the drives I have now is a WD
120g, bought in a bind, and the damn thing is dying as we speak. It's only a year old!

Whilst my Seagate Barracuda 80g is 5 years old and still humming along brilliantly.

I think you should get an Athlon 64 instead of an Athlon XP
