Invaild Media Type

i got a new drive and fdisked it made a new parttion then i when i wanted to format c: it told me Ivaild media type.. this is werid i have 2 other drives that have the same issue when i formated then( deleted the parttions and made them again) can any one tell me what i might did wrong. any feed back is apresated
