upon recently purchasing a digital video camera i needed to buy a FireWire/iLink card as to allow me to edit my footage on the pc.
i decided to look into why i needed the firewire and couldnot use the usb connection on my camera,
i noticed that the ubs2 speeds are stated higher than firewire which confused me as to why i needed to move to a slower tech'...
i was also wondering what the performance issues were if using an external hdd as oposed to the internal drives (firewire supporting up to 400MBps, IDE supporting up to 133Mbps)
any help would b greatly apprachiated
