Default Internal USB card reader... how to see it after "removal"

i have a memory card reader combo drive in a 3.5" bay. it's plugged into the mobo as a USB device. my problem is that it's recognized by the OS as a removable drive. if i choose to "safely remove" it, how can i get it back without restarting?

Honestly dont worry about "safely remove" unless it has an operating system or soemthing crazy

Just amke sure it's not writing to the memory card and your fine

yeah under normal circumstances i don't "remove" it, but it stopped repsonding, so i tried that to kind of restart it or whatever, but then i didn't know how to get it back without restarting the computer. so i guess what i am asking is there a way to make the comp recognize the usb device after it's been removed, you know since you can't just unplug and replug it like an external usb device?
