Intel Ships New Tools that Boost Game Performance

Intel Corporation today announced the release of Intel® Graphics Performance Analyzers (GPA), a suite of software tools created in support of the Visual Adrenaline developer program. Offered worldwide, GPA enables PC game developers to analyze and optimize game performance on Intel® Integrated Graphics. The Visual Adrenaline program, launched at the Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco in August 2008, provides tools, resources and information for game developers, artists and animators.

Too bad gamers don't use Intel Integrated graphics.

Those gamers should recommend their friends steer well clear of such laptops.

Not all gamers only have one system. I wold never have a Intel igp on a desktop but laptops are different story.

This is good for upcoming games (mainly casual games), but it does nothing for what is already out there.

There are always IGP's from Nvidia and ATI. Both have much better performance.

There aren't any ATI or nvidia igp's available for netbooks yet. Besides I never game on my laptop so it doesn't need a powerful graphics card.
