I do not know if this has been posted before but here is a mobo that has intel and amd on the same board. The intel cpu is on the actual board the amd cpu is on a big daughterboard.
It was shown a while back at CeBIT 2005.

Aye, that's been posted before. Pretty intriguing.

Nice find. But, that has to be the dumbest thing i've ever seen. Why would anyone buy that? Oh may-be i'll go Intel? Oh wait no... I'm going to convert to AMD. No wait, Intel... Seriously...

Think about it. If you have an Intel, then you wanna convert over to an AMD, doesn't make a whole lot more sense to buy the MOBO for an AMD? If you are running a Intel P4 LGA775, say, 3.2GHz and now you wanna go to a AMD Athlon 64 4000+ - Doesn't it make more sense to buy another MOBO? What's a mid to high range MOBO cost? $100 - $200 - I'd rather buy a new MOBO and still have the Intel Board may-be to slap together another PC down the road. Plus, that thing takes up way too much room. Videocard? Soundcard? Other PCI cards???

I know I think its more about bragging rights.Hey look what I have . I would not get it, but if they got a way to switch the cpus through the bios instead of jumpers then I may want bragging rights.
