Try putting the 30 gb as primary master, and unhook the smaller HD until you get an OS installed.

i did....and im not try to have 2 hardrives at once...im saying the 30 and the 20 gb ones dont work and the 2gb does

do you have another machine you can try and stick the non-working hd's in, and if so, full-format them there and see what happens.

use the data life guard diagnostics from WD put it on a floppy and restart with all drives hooked up. Change boot order to floppy first

hey i got same sort of problem i tried putting hdd into this computer(my daughters) but then this computer wont start
