ok... i have a laptop and i was wondering if i could install a OEM windows version on it. i was thinking there might be driver problems becuse its an IBM thinkpad.

any ideas??

invert your laptop, see model and serial, go to IBM< you'll find driver for every thing that is installed.

this is far most brightest idea.

if you are having trouble finding the drivers, lemme know the information, i'll lead u to them.

No, not at all, I have installed windows from HP / Dell on Computers that I built myself.

this OEM just have added extra icons/links for directly linking to customer support websites. not to worry, just remove that icons from the start menu #(if u know that).

format the hard drive (use format/q command), and then install the windows, basic drivres (like busses) wil be installed by windows, but devices, you have to get them installed seperately,

start from the Chipset drivers, then upto you, either in formation of VGA-Sound-Lan-Modem or inversly. as you like, prefebely install Chipset drivers in first place.

can you tell me full information:

I require these:

1:what u have before on Laptop (OS)
2: whioch drive you are trying to use for the installation? CD/Floppy (boot up)
