I am installing a second harddrive in a friend's computer. I installed the second harddrive snugly between the floppy drive and the first harddrive in the drive bay. There is not much breathing space. Is this going to be a problem? Should there be substantial space between drives? Will this cause a overheating problem? Or is this something I don't need to worry about?

Thanks

Generally there's only maybe a half inch between the drives and that's just the way the case has them lined up.

I have 4 HD's in my system one right above the other. You'll just get more heat of course, but there shouldn't be any problem.

I would try and move it further away if you can though just so one HD doesn't significantly heat up the other, but if you can't and have nowhere else to put it I really wouldn't worry
