Hi, I have a problem with installing the SATA hard drive. This is a Seagate 80GB.I bought all new parts for a new computer and my motherboard is a ASUS k8v-x.
Cannot load OS XP on to sata harddrive after the harddisk as been formatted.
Down loaded the new files. But the same thing happen.

K8V-X Mother Board Seagate Harddrive.

please HELP which drivers do i need

Yeah it's because at the beginning of WinXP at the bottom you'll see for about 1 second it says "PRESS F6 TO LOAD THIRD PARTY SCSI/RAID DRIVERS" at which point you need to hit F6 then have a floppy disk with the sata drivers on it

Copy the highlighted files to floppy. people need to include floppy of their sata product's that they sell. I know I never go one, but I know what files to copy to cd, because of my earlier experiences with raid.

if you use your sata as storage it is easier to do because you can install it within windows
