Installing a new Windows XP w/o deleting files?

Trust me, it is. And I've made plenty of XP installations.

a repair is done in about 10 minutes and then it goes on to the setup thing like installing windows, where as install from fresh takes about 30mins n goes on to a 45min setup

I don't think you get what I mean.
I mean the system will run faster once XP is installed (on a fresh install rather than a repair install)

Anyway, on my system, XP is installed in about 20 minutes with a fresh install.

I have a SATA DVD burner, and a 10,000RPM Raptor hard drive.
