Hello, I was just wondering-To replace/upgrade to a better CPU, is there any software configuration necessary, or do I just plug in the new cpu/heatsink/fan and restart my computer?Should I uninstall my current CPU from device manager before shutting off the pc to install the new one? Is any driver installation necessary, and if so does the processor include these drivers on a cd or something? As always, any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

btw if someone has a link to a website that answers these Q's or has directions on CPU installation that'd be great

If the CPU is made for motherboard, then just take out old,put in new,Make sure you unplug machine,to discharge board, also rub your hand on metal frame, this will prevent ESD,but all in all should be ok

it should find it and configure itself, unless you want to overclock it, but install pro & Fan, restart, you should see change in post screen.don't worry bro we are here 4 ya
