I have just purchased a new 160Gb HD to replace my old 30Gb one, but I am having some problems with it
The current situation is as follows
Pri Master: 30Gb - 1 partition C: Windows XP Pro SP2 (Boot)
Pri Slave: 80Gb - 2 partitions
I have formatted the new disc to 1 40Gb and 2 60odd gig, and i have ghosted the C: partition to the first partition on the new disc and set that partition active with Norton Ghost and Partition Magic
When I come to replace the drive, windows loads but there are no user icons to click on, and i can't CTRL-ALT-DEL or anything - it's almost as if there have been no settings transferred, but i would have thought ghosting the drive would have been enough??
