Default installing a mobo

it didnt come with the little red fiber washers

are these even neccessary?

Not sure, what is the motherboard? And what does the Manual say?

Hello,

I think you'll only need those washers if the feet on your case for the motherboard are bar metal. The washers should be used to stop your motherboard from short circuiting accidentally.
